The fire broke out in the early afternoon inside the warehouse of the Sapa a logistics company in the industrial centre of Airola. In a short time the flames, fuelled by the large number of wooden pallets present in the warehouse, spread to other rooms, releasing a black cloud that now covers that area of the Caudina Valley.
The firefighters of the detachment have been working for two hours now Bonea, but reinforcements have also been requested from other teams of the provincial command of Benevento. In the vicinity of via Sorlati, where the company is located, there are also civilian homes, as well as other companies and there is the risk that the dense smoke could create problems for the inhabitants.
