There is also a child among the eight victims of the plane crash that occurred today in San Donato Milanese where a private ultralight crashed into a building on the outskirts of Milan.
On board the aircraft, which departed from Linate airport and was headed to Olbiain Sardinia, there were eight people: seven passengers (including the child) and the pilot. The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation entrusted to the deputy prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano.
It would be a Pilatus Pc-12, designed and produced by the Swiss aeronautical company Pilatus Aircraft, the plane that crashed in San Donato, on the outskirts of Milan. The pilot and seven passengers died in the accident. The Pc-12 is an executive aircraft, single-engine turboprop, low-wing monoplane, which can accommodate up to nine passengers.
The plane, with identification marks Yr-Pdv, took off from Linate airport at 13.04pm local time bound for Olbia, Sardinia, according to ANSV, the national agency for flight safety.
"We have currently identified only one body. The others, following the impact, we have reason to believe that they are not composite." He explained it Charles Cardinals, official of the Milan Fire Brigade Command, working at the site where an ultralight aircraft with 8 people on board crashed. “We are carrying out checks together with the scientific police.”
And then he explained further: "The impact was quite devastating, we think it happened on the facade but we will do further checks. There was a real explosion, with this aircraft projected in various points", Cardinali confirmed, adding that “the plane made a turn after take-off and therefore the pilot probably noticed some anomaly”.
"The building was uninhabited, and was also undergoing renovation work, so we immediately ruled out the presence of other people inside the structure. At that point it was really important that there were no homes, in the tragedy the impact occurred on a completely uninhabited structure", he concluded.
