From the 5 28 October, every Tuesday and Thursday, it will be possible to access limited groups at Applied Research Laboratory of the Park, research and analysis center, custodian of unique organic finds discovered in the Vesuvian area.
Fabrics, seeds, legumes, walnut kernels, pine cones, charred bread, shells, small bowls with color pigments used for painting, animal bones are among the numerous examples of archaeozoological, archaeobotanical and anthropological finds preserved in the air-conditioned chamber of the Laboratory – which represent the uniqueness of the Pompeian context and a cross-section of the daily life of its inhabitants at the time of the eruption.
An extraordinary place that will be made accessible for the purpose of making the public aware of the important research work conducted in the field of bioarchaeology by the Park and the scientific potential resulting from the study of this type of finds.
Free visits reserved for season ticket holders My Pompeii Card (even recently purchased), will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 14:00, in 5 shifts lasting 45 minutes each, for a maximum of 5 people at a time.
It is possible to request a visit in Italian and English.

The season ticket can be purchased online at www.ticketone.it, and collected at the Pompeii ticket offices (Porta Marina, Piazza Esedra and Piazza Anfiteatro).
The visits will be led by Dr. Valeria Amoretti, Anthropologist Officer of the Park, in collaboration with Dr. Valentina Giacometti, physical anthropologist.
