Naples. “Piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli, death threats to candidates. Who will help us?”.

This is the SOS launched via Facebook by Fabiana Sciarelli, candidate on the lists of Anthony Bassolino to the presidency of the I municipality. Many messages of solidarity on social media, the Police arrived on site to ascertain what happened and listen to the candidate herself.

Sciarelli herself had posted another post a few hours earlier in which she denounced some anomalies: “I went to vote, polling station 48, Piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli… outside the polling station in line 4 representatives of the list with a card (the law says that you can't be outside with a card because it's propaganda) … inside the polling station no one asked me for my cell phone, I reminded the president of the polling station that maybe I should hand over my cell phone, he nodded and made me put it on a table, obviously the two people who were behind me entered the booth with all their things. I called the police who were waiting at the entrance and they told me that they can't do anything because it's at the discretion of the president of the polling station.

Exactly what happened 5 years ago and what I reported 5 years ago.
The replication of the best practices for respecting the rules that can ensure a clean, honest, unconditioned vote. Please, anyone who notices any irregularity should immediately report it to the police who are present at the polling stations because everyone, from all sides, all of us good voters, have the right to a serious and clean vote”.

Meanwhile, another of Bassolino's candidates has been the protagonist of an unpleasant episode. It concerns Domenico Masciari, candidate in the civic list “Bassolino for Naples”, posted in a story on his Facebook page a photo taken in a voting booth with the preference Masciari. His wife, too, Alexandra Spoken, known for being one of the protagonists of the TV show “The Real Housewives Napoli”, posted some stories on Instagram, all removed after a few hours: “You can also send a snapshot, a word to the wise is enough” says Masciari’s wife, which the candidate himself reposted on his page. “Good morning, I’m in front of the Umberto for those who didn’t follow the live broadcast – Parlato says -, I just voted and I say it with all honesty and frankness as some of our true friends have already done, you can also send a snapshot. A word to the wise is enough”. And she urges: “For the undecided at least trust those who really know something about politics, who have a family history”.
