Texts, sounds and languages of music Nino D'Angelo will be the subject of study atSuor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples: Wednesday 13 October at 11.00, on the occasion of the release of the book by Nino D'Angelo “The poet who cannot speak”, the first step of a triple project by the Neapolitan artist that includes, in addition to the book, an album of unreleased songs (out October 15) and a tour that will start next spring.
The study day “Pedagogy and musical language in complex society”, will be introduced by the speeches of the Rector of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, Lucio d'Alessandro and the director of the Department of Educational, Psychological and Communication Sciences, Enricomaria Corbi and will also be broadcast live on www.facebook.com/unisob.
"In a University that has been involved in pedagogical training for over a century, attention to the challenges of contemporary pedagogical emergencies is fundamental and the only way to respond to the emergencies of social distress of young people is to take up the challenge of a pedagogical training that knows how to use their own languages, such as those of music, cinema and even social networks, without prejudice and without distances. This is why at Suor Orsola we want to celebrate that "poet who cannot speak" but who was able to stimulate with his songs so many socially and culturally marginalized kids who, thanks to his lyrics and the strength of his sounds, were able to believe that the social elevator can and must work even for those who are not nobody". So Fabrizio Manuel Sirignano, full professor of General Pedagogy and president of the degree course in Primary Education Sciences at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, presents the meaning of the initiative.
Together with Prof. Sirignano they will discuss music pedagogy with Nino D'Angelo, the anthropologist Marino Niola, the artist Jorit, the musicologist Pasquale Scialò, the doctor Massimiliano Sirignano e Maria Rosaria Strollo, scientific director of the Laboratory of Epistemology and Educational Practices at the University of Naples Federico II.
"It's already a lot to be listened to, let alone studied.”. With his usual friendly frankness Nino D'Angelo he responded to the invitation 'in the chair' of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University. “I am truly honored by this invitation received from a prestigious University. It makes me think that maybe I even wrote something good. Jokes aside, I am sincerely excited for this day of study on the lyrics of my songs".
