Napoli secured eighth place and returned to the top of the table. They defeated Juric's Torino 1-0, which was decisive. osimhen, the man of the match. Excellent performance by the defense led by Ospina, high marks for Koulibaly and RahmaniInsigne was more opaque, also missing a penalty.

These are the report cards.

Ospina: 6,5. Attentive and precise despite having returned to Italy a few hours earlier after his international commitments. He saved the result on Brekalo in the second half, when the teams were still tied at 0-0.

Di Lorenzo: 6,5. A tenacious performance by the Italian full-back, who also provides the right contribution to his team's offensive phase. He also experiences the joy of a goal, later cancelled by VAR for offside.

Rahmani: 6,5. He is now the owner and he is deserving it game after game. The partnership with Koulibaly works and the defensive solidity is one of the secrets of this Napoli: another clean sheet arrives.

Koulibaly: 7. Absolute leader of the defense, his team conceded a few shots only in the second half. At the end, a naive warning arrived, the only flaw in a game that was once again perfect.

Mario Rui: 6. Sometimes good, sometimes less so. A resource also for set pieces: he provides the assist for Di Lorenzo's goal, later cancelled by VAR.

Anguissa: 6,5. He dominates in the first half, drops in the second. His contribution remains indispensable: he has perfectly integrated into this team and plays as if he has been wearing the blue jersey all his life.

Fabian Ruiz: 6. Not a great performance, with some mistakes but also some good plays. In any case, his presence is always felt in midfield.

Zielinski: 5,5. He starts well, then slowly disappears from the match. In the second half he is far too absent and Spalletti prefers Elmas for the final assault (from 71′ Mertens: 6,5Positive entry for the Belgian despite his long injury. He took part in the lead action with a series of exchanges in the tight).

Politano: 5,5. The winger does not take advantage of his chance to start: a bit of a complacency on the pitch and a few too many errors in ball management. Spalletti understands and replaces him at the start of the second half (from 59′ Lozano: 6. He makes a few mistakes in his controls, then recovers and hits the post. Substituted at the end to switch to five in defense; from 89': Juan Jesus: n/a).

Osimhen: 7,5. The Toro defense marks him with special attention, but he still manages to spread panic. Close to scoring in the first half, he finds himself in the right place to head the ball into the net: the three points once again bear his signature.

Insigne: 5. A dull performance by the Italian captain, who allows himself a blank period after a series of good performances. Another error from the spot: he has already made 3 of the last 5, an average not like him (from 71′ Elmas: 6. He touches the ball very few times, but he has a hand in the goal: the ball hits his back and ends up on Osimhen's head).

Juve, Spalletti: "We were too timid, Napoli were stronger. When Maradona sings, it's always a thrill..."

by Vincenzo Scarpa 7 December 2025 - 23:13 23:13

The Maradona defeat leaves Luciano Spalletti with more questions than certainties. The Juventus coach acknowledges his team's setback and does so frankly, emphasizing that Napoli deserved the victory. "Napoli were stronger than us today. I honestly can't say how different our level is from theirs, but it's clear we can do much better. We were too timid in possession, and in midfield we didn't create the superiority that could have changed the game for us. They, with their quality, left us running around empty," he told DAZN.

The match became difficult for Spalletti from the first 45 minutes, primarily due to the attitude of his forwards. "In the first half, we had little mobility up front. In the second half, we opted for man-to-man play, but Napoli knew how to use speed and technique to turn the game around every time we left them an opening. We were too academic, we took few risks, and we almost never tried to force anything," observed the Juventus coach, highlighting a lack of courage that ultimately affected the entire match.
