The world of signature pizza is growing and the sector is increasingly raising the bar, with masters who have taken advantage of the lockdown to study, research and develop new doughs. This is what emerges from the Gambero Rosso Pizzerie d'Italia 2022 guide, presented in Naples today, 11 October 2021. The volume, now in its ninth edition, returns to the scene in its original format, with votes and rankings (last year they were suspended due to the pandemic).
At the top of the Tre Rotelle list drawn up by Gambero Rosso we find, tied with 96 points, Pepe in Grani by Franco Pepe in Caiazzo (Caserta) and I Tigli by Simone Padoan in San Bonifacio (Verona). Following, with 95 points, La Filiale in L'Albereta di Erbusco (Brescia), I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci in Caserta and Renato Bosco Pizzeria in San Martino Buon Albergo (Verona).
As for the Tre Rotelle, which rewards pizza by the slice, at the top is Gabriele Bonci with his Pizzarium in Rome (95 points), followed by Saporè Pizza Bakery by Renato Bosco in San Martino Buon Albergo (Verona), with 94 points.
The guide, which is also back on the scene with new special awards, lists 680 establishments, including over 60 new entries, with a dedicated appendix of the best Italian pizzerias in the world, 6 new entries at the top of the ranking awarded with the Three Slices and 1 new Three Wheels for pizza by the slice (Tellia, Turin).

The Campania Regional Council resumes its session, and the institutional structure of the 5th Legislature is taking shape. After a roughly two-hour recess, the assembly elected its two vice presidents, marking a key step towards the start of its work. Luca Trapanese, representing the majority and the Five Star Movement, was chosen with 24 votes. He will also serve as deputy vice president. Giuseppe Fabbricatore of the Brothers of Italy party was elected for the center-right, receiving 19 votes.
This is Trapanese's first stint in the Regional Council, after serving as Councilor for Social Policies for the City of Naples in the government led by Gaetano Manfredi. This is also the first time in the Campania assembly for Fabbricatore, a former city councilor and group leader in Nocera Superiore and provincial councilor in Salerno.
