Ponticelli takes to the streets against the Camorra

“Ponticelli calls Naples to mobilize on the anniversary of the massacre at the Sayonara bar in Ponticelli. It was November 11, 1989.

A group of killers opened fire, committing a brutal massacre: 6 people lost their lives, 4 of them totally unrelated to the Camorra. 32 years have passed and in Ponticelli they continue to shoot and kill”.

This is what we read in a note with which the coordination of the 'Committee for the liberation of the Camorra', which met yesterday at the multipurpose 'Ciro Colonna', announces that it has decided "to call the whole city to mobilize. What is happening in Ponticelli these days concerns Naples".

“Streets, squares, neighborhoods, apartment buildings have been transformed into battlefields with attacks and ambushes. The murdered dead person, the casual victim, the crater of the detonated bomb, the holes in the walls from the bullets of the spread, the blood stain, the chalk traces of the shells on the ground exploded to wound or kill are now the urban ornament. In a few weeks: four bombs, 'spreads', arson attacks, wounding, ambushes with two murdered dead. It is Camorra terrorism. It is an endemic war that does not stop”, the note continues”.

Naples with Ponticelli has a duty and a responsibility towards the new and future generations. We must not hide from the young people the absurdity that is in our city, but demonstrate together that we are stronger and capable of changing a situation where violence does not seem to stop. For security and the future, for work and culture, we call on all the popular neighborhoods, the entire city, the collectives and student associations, the unions and the social and cultural realities to mobilize in Ponticelli on November 11. The alarm against the Camorra has sounded”, concludes the note.

The child isn't unfit for transplantation, and we've asked Monaldi Hospital to get a second opinion from Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome. I think it's normal for the trust between the child's family and Monaldi Hospital to have deteriorated somewhat. He just wants confirmation that the heart is still transplantable, so we're taking a…
