The Court of Appeal of Naples has rejected the request to revoke the precautionary measure issued by the investigating judge and advanced by the lawyers of the international drug trafficker Raphael Imperial, arrested in Dubai The 19 August.
For the Naples Prosecutor's Office, who filed new deeds, Imperiale was not a “simple drug supplier” ma “one of the pillars on which the entire Camorra organization of the Di Lauro clan secessionists rests” and without his connections “the Amato clan would have disappeared or perhaps never existed”.
The investigations on Imperiale have also led to the identification of the drug trafficker's contacts with criminals believed to be the heads of drug cartels involved in the so-called 'Mocro War' in Holland and Belgium, which caused over 40 deaths, Tagi Ridouan and Riquelme Vega, the first awaiting trial, the second taken into custody Chile in 2017 and extradited to Netherlands where he was recently convicted.

The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office believes that the Amato Pagano secessionist clan would have lasted a short time and perhaps not even existed without Raffaele Imperiale, the drug trafficker originally from Castellammare di Stabia arrested at the beginning of last August in Dubai where he is still being held and for whom an extradition request has been submitted.
