At the headquarters of the electoral committee he then thanked the challengers Enrico Michetti, Carlo Calenda and the outgoing mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi "for the commitment shown in these years".
Gualtieri also thanked the volunteers of his committee.

"The outcome is laconic, good luck to Gualtieri; I think we gave our all and in these conditions we did what we could.".

"I hope for a different climate in the future, one of greater serenity and aimed at good administration, with the program for Rome at its center and not national events that can influence the community's vote.".
