This morning the Metropolitan Archbishop Primate of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno, HE Mons. Andrea Bellandi, visited the “G. D'Avossa” Barracks, home of the 19th Cavalry Guide Regiment, meeting the military and civilian personnel of the department at the flag-raising ceremony.
The prelate was welcomed by the Commander, Col. Luigi D'Altorio, and by the Military Chaplain, Don Claudio Mancusi. The Archbishop, addressing the Guides, expressed words of deep gratitude and appreciation for their commitment, especially during the most critical phases of the pandemic and the vaccination campaign, as well as for the security service provided in the Operation Safe Roads and Land of Fires.
The bond between the diocese of Salerno and the Guides has been consolidated for years in the solidarity bridge in support of Lebanon and in the organization of the World Day of the Poor, an initiative supported by the generous contribution of the military of the D'Avossa

Caivano – An arrest that brings to light one of the most dramatic pages in Neapolitan news. The military raided his home, finding evidence of what appears to be a well-organized drug dealing ring: among the findings, 10 pre-packaged doses of cocaine and crack, packaging material and a "lmaster book" with initials and numbers, likely the accounts from the illegal sale. €1.675 in cash was also seized, presumably the proceeds of the illicit activity. The September 16th investigation is not the first drug dealing investigation involving Ciro Migliore after the death of his girlfriend; already in February 2021, he was targeted by law enforcement for similar crimes. The arrest closes a tragic cycle, where a family loss is intertwined with stories of deviance and illegality.
