In detail, Bonadio overcame the Neapolitan Giustino in the derby interrupted on Tuesday, 3-6 6-1 6-1, who was affected by the previous stop due to rain and appeared not very incisive. In the other derby, Andrea Pellegrino was pleasing against Jacopo Berrettini, beaten clearly 6-2 6-4. Filippo Baldi also passed with a little too much difficulty, defeating the lucky loser, Petros Tsitsipas, the Greek younger brother of world number 2 Stefanos, 6-4 3-6 6-4.
The most convincing notes, however, come from the tournament's number 1, the Italian Davis Cup player Stefano Travaglia, this week number 89 in the world, who made his debut at the Tennis Napoli Cup by Arnone with a clear victory over the Turkish player Kirkin, 7-6 6-3. And the other positive note comes from the next gen, the 19-year-old Flavio Cobolli, who deserves applause in his performance against the Dutchman De Jong, beaten 6-3 6-4. Travaglia and Cobolli will face each other in one of the most anticipated matches of the eighth-finals.
