Inter-force blitz in the Land of Fires. As part of the activities of repression and prevention of the illegal abandonment of waste from domestic, industrial and agricultural users, also aimed at illegal landfills, the "Campania" Group of the Italian Army based on the "Guide" Cavalry Regiment (19th), according to the directives established by the Person in Charge of combating the phenomenon of fires in the Campania region within the "Land of Fires" carried out an extraordinary control operation against illegal disposal and on the prevention of industrial, artisanal and commercial fires in the municipalities of Lusciano, San Cipriano d'Aversa and Capua.
On October 4, Italian Army crews together with municipal police patrols carried out a territorial control and road checkpoints in the three municipalities of Caserta and in Lusciano they achieved the following results: 4 people identified, 3 of whom were fined, 4 vehicles checked and administrative sanctions imposed. Furthermore, on Wednesday October 6, the military and municipal police went into action in Capua (where they identified 8 people and checked the same number of vehicles) and in Lusciano, where they carried out a check at two garages and subsequently a series of checkpoints achieving the following results: 8 people identified (of whom 2 were fined), 8 vehicles checked and numerous administrative sanctions imposed.
The activities are part of the “second level” actions (i.e. carried out by joint patrols of the Army and municipal or metropolitan police forces) which are added to the weekly Action Days.
