The Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata company – as part of the services arranged by the provincial command of Naples – carried out a high impact service in the city.
Reinforced checkpoints and several searches in the public housing district "Trento Park" known for the tragic death of Matilde Sorrentino. The anti-drug operation continued with the discovery and seizure of an abusive video surveillance system. 4 micro cameras were seized that had been positioned in the external electrical system that surrounds the building, thus monitoring the entire area. The Carabinieri found that the “live” broadcast could be seen and recorded by a device hidden on the roof of number 39 where the possible lookout would be positioned.
A modified “Bruni” brand replica pistol, caliber 8, without the red cap, with 45 blank bullets of the same caliber was found and seized in a common area.
The Carabinieri together with the staff of the State Monopolies Agency checked 4 betting shops in Via Vittorio Veneto identifying all those present. One business was fined because it was found to be lacking the required authorization documentation relating to the entertainment machines present there and the serving of drinks and food.
