A group of volunteers from the parish with the municipal councilor of Europa Verde and president of the Miniera association Salvatore Iodice cleaned up the courtyard of Cappella Pappacoda in largo San Giovanni Maggiore, which had become a landfill used by (uncivilized) lovers of nightlife with beer and alcohol who had completely covered the pavement with plastic cups, cans and bottles of beer.
"We reported the situation last August, also sending a note to the Superintendency and to the University L'Orientale to have clarifications on the competence of the structure and to ask for authorization to be able to clean the area as volunteers. So today we learned that the volunteers of the parish led by Don Salvatore have done it, bringing dignity and decorum to a place smeared with incivility that unfortunately continues to recur in an increasingly invasive way in the nightlife and in general in the daily life of the city. It is absolutely necessary to eradicate this mentality through examples such as clean-ups, awareness and re-education campaigns and severe punishments for those who dirty the city and the monuments.” – declared the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli -.
