This was, according to what we understand, the decision communicated at the resumption of today's meeting at Market between the unions and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Alessandra Todd. There is anticipation for the judge's decision on the layoffs scheduled for 22 October next and for this reason the unions would have asked for an account of the provision in support of the workers of the Naples site that Minister Giorgetti had spoken about in the last meeting.
To ensure continuity to the site, it was explained at the table, the transfer of the company branch is needed in order to safeguard workers and it was confirmed by Todde that the consortium's project “it's extremely serious”, that the work is going on and “that the announced dates of December 15, for the constitution of the consortium and presentation of the industrial plan for the reabsorption of the overall perimeter, are confirmed” and that the government “is available to continue all necessary discussions”.
Deputy Minister Todde assured that “he will come down to Naples next week to meet the workers at the plant.”
