Singer Recommends Morone and the start up Vitìnera are the winners of the “Wine Art Contest" he was born in "GreenPrix".
In the prestigious setting of the Galoppatoio della Palace of Portici the award ceremony of the two competitions launched by the MAVV, the Museum of Art, Wine and Vine, dedicated to art, culture, innovation and sustainability of the wine supply chain, wine & food, wine tourism and the creative industry.
Supported, among others, by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and by the Campania Region, and placed under the honorary presidency of Minister Stefano Patuanelli, the two initiatives involved and valorised young artistic talents and innovative new entrepreneurs in the wine supply chain, with significant participation success, also on an international scale.
The Wine Art Contest, a competition of artistic creativity inspired by the world of wine, has seen the candidacy of over two hundred young artists, not only Italian. A jury of well-known names from the Italian cultural and artistic scene has awarded the Neapolitan singer Recommends Morone, the young emerging artist who had already made her mark with her participation in 2019 in “All Together Now”, the Canale5 show hosted by Michelle Hunziker, with J-Ax as head of the jury.
The painter came in second Maria Gabriella Porzio with the work “Black suit”; third the singer Daniel Montuori. The artists were awarded with checks, acknowledgements and gifts from MAVV, Palazzo del corallo – Russo cammei and La Dispensa del Re. The artists selected for the performing arts were also invited to audition in Milan by the MultiMediaNet group, a partner of the competition. Special awards also went to Caroline Brun (France), Juan Miguel Ortuño Martinez (Spain), Mika Cho, Todd Williamson and Yuri Boyko (USA) and Uschi Freymeyer (Germany).
Among the nominations for the GreenPrix, an award given to young companies and innovative startups operating in the wine sector, the following has emerged: Vitìnera, cellar explorers of Luke Buccino. This project aims to facilitate the local network system to provide sustainable, responsible and inclusive tourism for the territory. The jury awarded it for its originality and innovation, the coherence of the proposal with the themes indicated, the ability to impact the wine supply chain and to highlight the characteristics of the product and the services offered, as well as for the clarity of the exposition.
The event saw the participation of the Department of Agriculture of Federico II, with its director Danilo Ercolini, with the collaboration of the Municipal Administration of Portici and the Mayor of the city Enzo Cuomo. With the artistic direction curated by Claudio Niola e Luciano Ruotolo, the event was presented by the Rai program host Noemi Gherrero.
With a video greeting from Minister Patuanelli, who personally supported the ideation of the contest and the prize from the very beginning, the meeting also saw the awarding of the MAVV prizes. In Vino Veritas and Dea Vite, now in its third edition, awarded to the company of excellence in the sector San salvatore di Peppino Pagano and to the aerospace company ALI di John Scales, as well as, for scientific, academic and social merits, to university professors Luigi Moio, Piero Mastroberardino, Geppino Falco and Roberta Garibaldi, to the sports champion Patrizio oliva and to the journalist Mary Grace Tuscan.
Following in the square outside the Galoppatoio, a tasting of local wines, an exhibition of vintage cars and a concert by the Band of the United States Naval Forces in Europe.
