On the morning of November 30, 2021, in Torre Annunziata, the Naples Flying Squad and the local Police Station executed an arrest warrant issued by the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate and the Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court against two adults and a minor, all with criminal records and seriously suspected of the murder of Francesco Immobile, which occurred in Torre Annunziata on September 12.
The victim, linked by family ties to members of the Gallo/Cavalieri criminal group operating in the popular "Penniniello" district, was killed in a Camorra-inspired ambush.
The killers reached him and mortally wounded him by exploding numerous shots at him from at least two different guns, while he was outside a church in the center of Torre Annunziata.
The investigations coordinated by the Judicial Authority of Naples made it possible to reconstruct the dynamics of the event and to acquire serious clues regarding the recipients of the restrictive measure.
The contribution of technical interception activities and some testimonies was particularly valuable for the investigators. The images acquired by numerous video surveillance systems located along the route followed by the killers to reach the location of the ambush and on the route used as an escape route also corroborate the circumstantial picture.
