Three people were arrested at the Domodossola (VCO) border: two were wanted for serving remaining sentences, and the third for violating house arrest. The two Romanian citizens and one Italian were stopped by border police at the Domodossola international train station.
The first is a 34-year-old man, resident in Germany, traveling on the Eurocity 59 from Basel to Milan: he had a prison order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Cuneo for the crime of damage committed in Saluzzo in 2018: he still had to serve 6 months in prison. The same measure for a 29-year-old woman, resident in Naples, found on a train from Switzerland.
The arrest warrant - he still had to serve two months in prison - was issued by the Naples Prosecutor's Office for having repeatedly violated the mandatory expulsion order in 2019 and 2020. The woman, pregnant, was taken to prison in Turin. The third person is an Italian resident in Casale Monferrato who was traveling on the Novara-Domodossola regional train.
He was arrested for evasion: he was subjected to the house arrest regime ordered by the Novara Prosecutor's Office and the Vercelli surveillance magistrate.
