Sorrento. He wanted to impose a bribe on a well-known DJ and organizer of nightlife events in the Sorrento peninsula: execution of a custody order against a suspect for extortion and personal injury, circumstances aggravated by the mafia method.
Last night, the soldiers of the Sorrento Company executed a precautionary custody order, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the local Anti-Mafia District Attorney's Office, against EG, a 22-year-old from Piano di Sorrento, seriously suspected of the crimes of attempted aggravated extortion and aggravated personal injury using mafia methods.
The complex of investigative activities, carried out by the Carabinieri of the Sorrento Company and coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples, have allowed us to collect a qualified evidentiary framework against the arrested person, who, in the summer of 2021, allegedly made threats and aggravated injuries against a DJ from the Sorrento peninsula, in order to establish himself on the territory in the organization of events in the "movida" venues.
From the investigative reconstruction it emerged that EG, on several occasions, approached the victim, threatening her in order to dissuade her from continuing with her professional activity, demanding the payment of sums of money in order to be able to play in the clubs on the coast, making use of the intimidating force deriving from the suspect's connection to the D'Alessandro clan.
The criminal action, aimed at eliminating any form of competition in the entertainment and dance events sector with the violence and intimidating force typical of the "mafia method", continued with the "demonstrative" beating of the victim, who was violently attacked near her home.
