The European Operation “ALCOHOL & DRUGS” is underway, the European awareness-raising initiative against driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, organised by ROADPOL – European Roads Policing Network.
From 6 to 12 December 2021, there will be days of blanket checks that will see the Traffic Police patrols engaged on all the roads and highways of the country.
The aim of the Operation against driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is to increase road safety levels and reduce the number of road accident victims.
The initiative is part of the awareness-raising actions in compliance with the European Action Plan 2021-2030 with the aim of halving the number of deaths from road accidents and reducing the number of serious injuries in Europe and in the world.
