I artichokes are vegetables rich in active ingredients which help maintain optimal health.

By choosing the frozen product you will not give up the quality and properties previously indicated, but you can avoid the step related to cleaning them which, in some cases, could prove difficult.

 

The preparation of frozen artichoke hearts in a pan it is just one of the options available to the consumer.

Per prepare the artichoke hearts all you have to do is heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan; pour in the still frozen product and cook everything over medium heat for about ten minutes.

 

Below we recommend two tasty recipes to try with artichokes.

 

Squid and artichoke hearts

 

A second course of fish, different from the usual dishes and culinary proposals. Quick and easy to prepare:

 

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of cleaned squid;
  • 300 g of frozen artichoke hearts;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • ½ glass of dry white wine;
  • Extra virgin olive oil;
  • Vegetable broth;
  • Salt;
  • Fresh mint.

Procedure:

  1. Wash and cut the squid into strips;
  2. In a pan with high edges, brown the garlic for a few moments (remove it as soon as it has colored);
  3. Add the squid and a few drops of white wine;
  4. Using a ladle, add the vegetable broth;
  5. Cook everything for about 25 minutes on low heat.

 

How to prepare artichokes? Cook the frozen product in a pan with oil, salt and a few fresh mint leaves. When the calamari are cooked, you will need to add the artichokes and let them cook together for a few minutes.

Serve the dish hot, taking care to add a few mint leaves.

 

Artichokes and potatoes

 

A tasty side dish, easy and quick to prepare. Success is guaranteed.

 

Ingredients:

  • 300 g of frozen artichokes;
  • 4-5 potatoes;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 100 ml still white wine;
  • Parsley to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper as needed
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them to the same size as the artichokes;
  2. In a pan with high edges, brown the two cloves of garlic (not excessively, but long enough for them to brown);
  3. Add the potatoes and artichokes;
  4. Leave to cook for a few minutes, until the artichokes are colored;
  5. Add the white wine and let it evaporate;
  6. Add a glass of water and continue cooking for about fifteen minutes. Be sure to cover the pan;
  7. Before finishing cooking, add the parsley, salt and pepper.
  8. Serve very hot.
