Two of Iossa's minor accomplices have already been convicted for the boy's murder. FT, 17, from Casalnuovo, received a 10-year prison sentence and CB, also 17, received a two-month prison sentence. The juvenile court's preliminary hearing judge sentenced him to 7 years.
FT was convicted of complicity in Simone's murder, while CB was convicted of attempting to kill a friend of the young victim. Domenico Iossa, represented by Antonio Iorio, after turning himself in, declared that he stabbed Simone because he was losing in a fight he and his friends had started. The deputy prosecutor of Nola, at the end of his closing argument, requested a life sentence and six months of solitary confinement for Iossa.
