Grumo Nevano: they had 30 kilograms of prohibited firecrackers: 2 arrested

In Grumo Nevano, the Carabinieri of the local station arrested two people with no criminal record for illegal possession of explosive material, a 23-year-old local man and a 25-year-old from Casandrino.

The military stopped them while they were on board a car. The nervousness of the 2 advised the carabinieri to investigate further. In the car there were 7 kilos of bombs, firecrackers and fireworks. The search was extended to the homes of the two young people and there the military found and seized another 23 kilos of explosive material for a total of 30.

. The intervention of the Carabinieri bomb disposal experts of the provincial command of Naples was necessary. The specialized military personnel confirmed the “lethal” nature of the explosives and the danger to public safety given that the devices were hidden inside homes.

Among the devices seized were also the “latest” arrivals on the black market. Those arrested are in prison and awaiting trial.
