Fire destroys 3 cars in the municipal police station in Pomigliano d'Arco.
Three municipal police cars Pomigliano d'Arco, went up in flames during the night and were completely destroyed. Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri and the State Police to trace the origins of the fire that engulfed the cars parked in front of the municipal police headquarters in Pannella Square, in front of the Town Hall.
The flames also blackened the walls of the adjacent building without causing any structural damage. The first person to notice the flames was the guardian of the building, the only one present in the structure, who immediately alerted the firefighters and the authorities.
“If the malicious origin of the incident were confirmed – commented the mayor Gianluca Del Mastro on his Facebook page – it is good to know that Pomigliano is not intimidated and does not back down in its action in favor of legality.
We trust in the police forces that will have to ascertain and punish those responsible for this vile act. We will continue to fight every illegal activity to protect our citizens and we will do, as always, our part, so that the principles of legality and justice are affirmed in our territories".
