The micro-cameras installed illegally around a condominium in the IACP district of Caivano were of no use.
The Carabinieri managed to get to the door of the house and when they burst in the two people inside were taken aback. The 36-year-old Carmine Di Martino and the 26-year-old Pietro Paolo Grassia immediately threw the doses they had on them out of the window but the soldiers who had cordoned off the building shortly before were there to pick them up.
A total of 63 doses of crack were seized, as well as a bag containing 156 grams of cocaine. There was also cash, approximately 200 euros believed to be illicit proceeds, a precision scale and various packaging material.
The two ended up in handcuffs and then locked in a holding cell, awaiting trial. The video surveillance system was also dismantled, which, although cutting edge, did not save them from being handcuffed.
