Epidemiological surveillance of schools. Senator D'Anna (ONB) in a statement: “Biologists and laboratories ready to support Commissioner Figliuolo’s efforts”
“The recent measures taken by the government, regarding the epidemiological surveillance of school children, lead us to foresee a further dramatic increase in the volumes of analytical services relating to the so-called rapid antigen swabs”.
This was stated in a note by Senator Vincenzo D'Anna, president of the National Order of Biologists, who then continued: “the network of clinical analysis laboratories accredited with the SSN (already adequately equipped according to the provisions of the law) and that of freelance biologists (authorized to perform the tests), are, from now, available to support the organizational effort put in place by the extraordinary commissioner for the Covid emergency, Gen. Figliuolo”.
For D'Anna: “the role of laboratories, in fact, has been and remains central in the work of tracing the virus”. “We reiterate that this type of service is analytical and therefore the responsibility of analysis laboratories, as (the analytical service), however rapid, cannot be transfigured into any other case, much less into a pharmaceutical product” concludes the president of the ONB.
