Assets worth one million euros were seized by the Asset Prevention Measures Office of the Anti-Crime Division of the Palermo Police Headquarters from Paolo di Maggio, 48, Paolo Dragotto, 62, and Michele Spartico, 30.

Seals on a company in Palermo, with headquarters in Via Brunelleschi, active in the bakery sector, two real estate properties, three motorcycles, two cars, eight bank accounts and a savings book.

The three had been involved in the operation of the Palermo Flying Squad, coordinated by the prosecutor's office, called "Black Smith" on May 21, 2019, which dismantled a criminal organization, active between 2016 and 2019, aimed at trafficking hashish and cocaine, imported from Campania and subsequently distributed along the Palermo-Trapani axis. The top positions held by Di Maggio and Dragotto are indicated. Spartico would have been the trusted person to register commercial activities resulting from the reinvestment of capital proceeds from the illicit activity.

He would also have taken care of the organization of some important meetings aimed at purchasing the narcotic substances with the Campania emissaries and would have formally registered the ownership of the aforementioned individual company subject to seizure, in fact managed by Dragotto and Di Maggio.

On March 8, 2021, the first was sentenced to 20 years, the second to 18 years, Spartico to 7 years. Following asset investigations, a disproportion was ascertained between the purchases made and the income received and the illicit nature of the business activities.
