San Sebastiano al Vesuvio: 55-year-old responsible for several robberies arrested. Since September 15th he has been detained at the Poggioreale prison following his arrest in flagrante delicto
The Carabinieri of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Station have executed a custodial order in prison, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the Court of Nola, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 55-year-old, seriously suspected of the crime of robbery.
The man was arrested red-handed last September 15, following a specific observation operation by the military of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio Station, for having robbed a passer-by of his wedding ring, after threatening him with a gun and escaping on a scooter with a fake license plate.

Once located and identified, the military of the Station carried out a thorough investigation aimed at finding clues that would link the person arrested today to the robberies that occurred over the course of a year, or 25 episodes that occurred between September 2020 and September 2021, in the area between the municipalities of Cercola, Pollena Trocchia, Massa di Somma and San Sebastiano al Vesuvio.
The analysis of the local video surveillance systems and other traces that emerged during the investigative activity allowed us to collect a serious circumstantial evidence against the 55-year-old, for having committed 5 other robberies, all with the same modus operandi, that is, against citizens who, at dusk, were preparing to return home or who were simply walking in isolated areas, when they were robbed of their wallet or other gold objects they were carrying, under the threat of a weapon.
CM, who has been detained at the Poggioreale prison since September 15 following his arrest for robbery, has been subjected to the new precautionary measure of custody in prison and will remain at the disposal of the AG in the aforementioned hospital, from which he will have to answer for the aforementioned 5 additional robberies.
