The counting of votes for the renewal of the Metropolitan Council is underway Napoli. From the first data that emerge it is clear that the two centre-left lists prevailed: “Napoli metropolitana”, headed by the mayor Gaetano Manfredi and “Riformisti e progressisti”, a Deluchian-inspired list together with the PD. Seven elected each, out of a total of 24 councillors.

In practice the challenge between the mayor and the governor ends in a draw. The M5S, which decided like the PD to run without a symbol with a civic list, manages to collect 3 seats. The first party of the center-right is FI which elects two councilors; 1 for the League and 1 for FdI.

Catello Maresca also managed to elect a councilor from his list. A seat also for “Territori in Azione” Calenda’s list and “Grande Napoli” headed by former Renzian MP Michela Rostan. Flop for “Napoli al centro”, a list born on the Mastella-Toti axis and for Antonio Bassolino’s list.

The following enter the Metropolitan Council for the “Progressives and Reformists” list: Giuseppe Cirillo (mayor of Cardito), Carmine Lo Sapio (mayor of Pompei), Antonio Sabino (mayor of Quarto), Giuseppe Bencivenga (mayor of Frattaminore), Marco Antonio Del Prete (mayor of Frattamaggiore), Luciano Borrelli (deputy mayor of Calvizzano) and Giuseppe Tito (mayor of Meta di Sorrento).

The elected representatives for the “Napoli metropolitana” list are: Dionigi Gaudioso (mayor of Barano d'Ischia), Ilaria Abagnale (mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate), Sergio Colella (municipal councilor of Naples), Antonio Caiazzo (municipal councilor of Afragola), Felice Sorrentino (municipal councilor of Poggiomarino), Giuseppe Sommese (president of the municipal council of Somma Vesuviana) and Rosario Andreozzi (municipal councilor of Naples)

The 5 Star Movement, which presented itself with the list “Territori in Movimento” and an alternative symbol following the suspension of its statute by the Court of Naples, elected 3 councilors: Salvatore Cioffi, president of the Municipal Council of Pomigliano d'Arco (and candidate who obtained the highest weighted vote overall), Salvatore Flocco (municipal councilor of Naples) and Salvatore Pezzella (municipal councilor of Giugliano in Campania).

In the center-right, Forza Italia stands out for its result, electing 2 councilors: Massimo Pelliccia, mayor of Casalnuovo, and Salvatore Guangi, vice president of the Naples City Council.

The lists of Brothers of Italy (Giuseppe Nocerino, municipal councilor of Somma Vesuviana), Grande Napoli (Luigi Grimaldi, municipal councilor of Frattamaggiore), Progress and Legality with Catello Maresca (Vincenzo Cirillo, municipal councilor of Trecase), Lega (Domenico Esposito Alaia, municipal councilor of Castello di Cisterna) and Territories in Action (Domenico Marrazzo, municipal councilor of Qualiano) elect one councilor each.
