With a fun and engaging show, Paolo Belli returns to the theater. There are 8 performances scheduled in Campania between March 19 and 27: on the 19th and 20th in Naples at the Teatro Troisi, on the 22nd at the Teatro Totò in Naples, on the 23rd at the Teatro Scarpetta in Sala Consilina (SA), on the 24th at the Teatro Magic Vision in Casalnuovo di Napoli (NA), on the 25th at the Teatro Umberto in Nola (NA) and on the 26th, 27th at the Teatro delle Arti in Salerno.
In “Pur di Far Commedia” hilarious stories and anecdotes accompany the audience to discover characters who are sometimes surreal, but who dedicate themselves without limits to realizing the dream of living by following their passion.
In the new show, written with Alberto Di Risio, Paolo recounts the thousand adventures and twists experienced in many years of career, including hilarious auditions for strange but brilliant musicians, moments of reflection and his great successes revisited in a new guise.
Prose, songs and laughter are the ingredients of “Pur di Far Commedia” where Paolo, accompanied by seven musicians, leaves more space for speech, stories and interaction with his audience, lets himself be carried away by memories managing to involve those present, exciting and being excited, thinking back to the path taken so far.
We are in a hypothetical rehearsal room and Paolo is preparing the new tour when he is overwhelmed by events: between delays, new musicians to audition and characters with cumbersome personalities, the comedy tells the daily life of those who do this job with great dedication despite the thousand difficulties. Having ended up by surprise in this eccentric band, the protagonist will have to adapt to the language of its extravagant musicians.
“Pur di Far Commedia” debuted with a sold out at the Teatro Comunale di Carpi, on the occasion of the New Year's Eve 2022 celebrations. What better way to start a new adventure and enter a year that promises to be full of great news for Paolo Belli.
In fact, there are two albums coming out in the next few months: the first one, a cover version, a tribute to his masters (Dalla, De Gregori, Fossati and Jannacci, to name a few) is scheduled for spring, while the second album, with unreleased songs, will be released immediately after the summer.
Added to these is a special birthday, that of his 60th birthday, which Paolo will celebrate on stage in March, and then continue from May in the squares together with his Big Band with fun concerts full of surprises, for a year that hopefully will mean a return to "normality" for everyone.
