“Strativari” is a show that aims to focus on the image of a multifaceted Naples far from commonplaces.
Two musical groups different in vocation and history collaborate with the precious theatrical complicity of the charismatic actress Cristina Donadio who, in an artistic alternation, takes over the role that at the debut (Napoli Teatro Festival, 2019) had been Iaia Forte.
Alternating quotes with original contributions, Strativari celebrates the unusual image of a city that cannot be labeled.
Seen from above, Naples seems like one city, but to the traveler who chooses to descend into its bowels to cross it, it reveals the many layers that compose it, superimposed and perceptible in their fascinating specificity and yet inextricably linked in a tangle of colors, smells, sounds.
There is no logic that explains the mystery of this fertile osmosis of souls, favored by invisible bonds that go far beyond physical proximity. Eyes, legs and reason are not enough to travel through the city in layers: you need music.
A truly immersive and transversal journey that unites musicians and actors; that remains suspended between theatrical performance and concert but in an original way that offers listeners an overview of different musical genres rich in surprising and current combinations capable of attracting the interest of even the very young who are curious about

“Strativari” is conceived as a suite and is composed of eight movements (with a Prologue and an Epilogue) different in color, dynamics and atmospheres. Eight tables, eight emotional portraits that touch as many affections – memory, passion, play, conflict, fatigue, denunciation, desire, devotion – explored from the point of view of the Neapolitans.
"I have always loved "playing with music" on stage and this occasion, through the feelings that belong to me, allows me to confront myself with the sound of classical and invented instruments. – declares Cristina Donadio. Strativari is a mysterious journey, it attracts me and I feel it is mine; it allows me to enter into symbiosis with the contradictions of a Naples, rich in vital and artistic stimuli, which fascinates both in the feelings of hate and love.
I loved Strativari right from the start, as soon as they proposed me to participate I threw myself "acapasotto" into the project, letting myself go to passion, without thinking too much about it. I want to let myself go and be overwhelmed by the songs, the noise, the melody, the word and the suggestions that great musicians will transmit to me on stage".
"The idea of this show – explains Maurizio Capone, frontman of BungtBangt – was born many years ago. As far back as 1999 I had the intention of contaminating our instruments, made of recycled materials, with classical music. Strativari debuted in 2019 thanks to the vision of the Director of the Campania Teatro Festival Ruggero Cappuccio.
From the performance in the courtyard of honor of the Royal Palace in Naples, a musical journey began that led BungtBangt to also collaborate with the prestigious Stresa Festival 2021, in a sound dialogue with I Solisti Aquilani for a musical journey from 1700s Venice to 21st century Naples.
Today, with our usual friends – Solis String Quartet, Stefano Valanzuolo for the script, Raffaele Di Florio as director – we have a great actress with us: Cristina Donadio, who in an artistic alternation with Iaia Forte, will enrich the show. Strativari describes a Naples outside of stereotypes, even those of recent birth, and suggests new visions, alternatives and wide-ranging. Both we and the Solis are already experimenting with this approach, each in our own way; but this is a very ambitious challenge that takes us into new and also very different areas, approaching the unapproachable".

The aim of this show is to tell the story of our city, this time using the theatrical depth of Cristina Donadio. With a game of contrasts we relate Bach, Mozart, Prokofiev and Viviani with original pieces by both Capone and the Solis".
