Child killed in Cardito, the murderer: “I apologize, my brain has switched off.” Sentenced to life imprisonment, he makes spontaneous statements.
“I want to apologize and ask for forgiveness… I smoked a joint… I take drugs on a daily basis… I saw the broken bed frame, I had a sudden fit, as if my brain had switched off…”.

To the judges of the second section of the Court of Assizes of Appeal di Naples, in front of which the second degree trial is being held for the tragedy that occurred on 27 January 2019 in Cardito, Toni, defended byLawyer Peter Rossi, he wanted, by reading two pages written in his cell, to retrace the horrifying story that saw him and the mother of the two children as protagonists Valentina Casa who is now facing charges of complicity in murder and attempted voluntary homicide.
Even though he was not forced to, Badre also answered – affirmatively – to the judge who asked him if it was true that he had beaten the two children in that way. Today Valentina Casa, the children's mother, was also heard: she too answered, often in an approximate manner, the questions posed to her by the deputy attorney general, the judge and the lawyers of the civil parties, among whom are Clara Niola (by Cam Telefono Azzurro and the Akira association) and by Pierfrancesco Moio (representing Joseph's two little sisters).
