Boscoreale. The contract for the creation of the city video surveillance system was formalized this morning. It will be built with 45 very high-resolution cameras, among the most modern and efficient, and the system will be spread across the entire municipal territory, in agreement with the police and the police headquarters: the perimeter and access roads, the popular neighborhoods, the historic center and the squares.
The cost of the project, entirely financed with funds from the Metropolitan City, is approximately 300 thousand euros. The widespread network of electronic eyes will be implemented with the existing cameras that will be networked, so as to expand the range of action and control. The watchword is greater security.
The construction work will start in the next few weeks, the time needed for the winning company to procure the necessary material, such as dedicated servers and the cameras themselves. Everything will be connected to the SCNTT system of the Ministry of the Interior.
"We are completing a long-awaited project. We have achieved another important goal that I had promised since the election campaign. Boscoreale will be equipped with a cutting-edge video surveillance network, so as to guarantee all citizens the right to security that is the basis of possible new investments in our territory." Mayor Antonio Diplomatico stated, adding: "It is a project in which I have always believed and for which I have worked hard to intercept the necessary resources.
Today's signing of the contract is an important milestone that will allow the start of work and the completion of the entire project in a short time. Added to this are years of warranty and maintenance that we will leave to the next administration, so as to be able to provide not only the installation of an efficient system but also one that will function over time".
