Dinosaurs (distribution Artist First) is the title of the new single by Cabrio, released digitally and on the radio on May 20th.
"The song plays on fantastic, paradoxical and colorful images, yet it is melancholic and nostalgic, born from the fact that I felt confined in this reality.à – says Cabrio – How many times have we thought about the past? Many, and too often we cannot divert our attention from what was and that now, by force of circumstances, is no longer there. What happens around us has a tremendous influence on our moods.
In the last two years we have found ourselves in a pandemic and, now, in a war that is also destroying us economically. Reality and the present are told in the second verse of the song, where the facts of life take a more lived, current and responsible turn. However, one certainty remains at the beginning and end of the song... the dinosaurs are extinct”.
The song was written by Cabrio with the participation of the Tuscan singer-songwriter Guzzi and composed by Cabrio himself together with Antonio Stella and Stefano Radice. The latter, a member of Moscova, also took care of the mixing and mastering. The guitars were entrusted to the expert hands of Domenico Giordano, also of Moscova. The song was recorded at Loud Studio in Bovisio Masciago (MB) and Cabrio's Studio in Messina (ME).
Always very creative and prolific, Cabrio has often released singles that have never been part of his albums: “Il profeta lo scritto” (2017), “Io ci voglio credere” feat. Ricky Portera (2017), “Fly” feat. Dinastia (2017), “Fly” feat. Ricky Hombre Libre (2018), the cover “Il grande Mazinga” (2020) which received considerable attention, with almost 40.000 views on YouTube and passages on numerous national and international radios, the cover of “Magic Shop” (2021) dedicated to the maestro Franco Battiato, “Scivola” (2021) and “Anni '90 (Max docet)” (2021).
