A drama of desperation unfolded in Casal di Principe where Pasquale Capasso, 81 years old, a businessman, in a moment of madness tried to strangle the wife 78 year old who had been assisting her daily for 10 years, now semi-bedridden.
Shortly after the crazy act, believing that his wife was dead, he called the police of the Casal di Principe company explaining what had happened. Then he called the son telling what happened. He waited for the timely arrival of the Carabinieri without shirking his responsibilities and that of 118 while they resuscitated the woman who was still struggling to breathe.
The woman was transported to theMoscati Hospital of Aversa where she is still hospitalized in Intensive Care Unit in comaHis condition is stable and doctors have not yet released a prognosis.
Pasquale Capasso was arrested for attempted murder as ordered by the deputy prosecutor Francesco Cirillo. This morning he will appear before the investigating judge Raffaele Coppola of Court of North Naples assisted by the lawyer Salvatore Capasso for the hearing to validate the arrest.
