Caserta. The city council of Caserta approved the Financial Statement for the 2021 financial year, which established an administrative result as of December 31, 2021 "of over 35 million euros (35.120.044 euros), with a free surplus - a note from the Municipality states - net of the set-aside and restricted portion, of 418.976 euros, consistent with a cash balance of over 36 million euros".
"The financial statement certifies the financial stability of the Authority - explained Mayor Carlo Marino - and allows the Administration to continue to operate in peace and security. I thank Councilor Gerardina Martino for the work done in these months and also at the end of the last council term, when she managed to obtain a surplus of approximately 13 million euros".
In addition to the 2021 financial statement, the council approved the resolution relating to the 2022 budget forecast and the three-year period 2022/2024. “This is a truly important budget forecast for the city,” explains Councilor Martino, “which allows us to complete what was started in the first Marino Administration and to look to the future with renewed confidence. The numbers in the accounting document are significant with: 91 million euros in current expenditure and 125 million in capital expenditure.”
“We are ready for the challenges that await us shortly – added Marino regarding the budget forecast – from the ecological transition to the digital transition, through social cohesion, all perfectly in line with what is foreseen by the PNRR and the UN Agenda 2030. Urban regeneration interventions, school buildings, sports facilities, extraordinary maintenance, a Budget that relaunches Caserta from an economic and social point of view for the coming years”.
