Caserta. In the early hours of the morning, the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Aversa Company, following a complex investigation, executed an order for the application of precautionary measures against seven people, three of whom were held in custody in prison and four under house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples North at the request of this Public Prosecutor's Office.
The investigations carried out in the last months of last year have allowed us to acquire serious evidence of guilt in relation to numerous conducts of sale of narcotic substances of the cocaine type and to a hypothesis of attempted extortion connected to the theft of several kilograms of hashish from a 100 kg load hidden in the territory of Orta di Atella and intended for subsequent marketing.
The telephone interception operations carried out on the telephone numbers available to the suspects proved to be extremely effective, revealing the methods, times and places in which the requests and deliveries of drugs took place, as well as the full and continuous synergy between the individuals who procured the drugs and those who “placed” them in different areas of the large territory of Giugliano and the province of Caserta in which they operated.
Furthermore, the evidence acquired during the investigations immediately proved to be demonstrative of a drug dealing activity which, managed through continuous telephone communications, essential and often devoid of complete meaning, between buyers and dealers and a conventional language, supplied small quantities of cocaine and rarely also hashish to a large number of buyers always in the same places and, in particular, near well-known bars and pizzerias which were easily identifiable.
The suspects, in less than three months of investigations, although lacking a real organized structure, were extremely operational with hundreds of telephone conversations per day, all with a very short duration of 10/40 seconds and aimed at defining the number of doses and the meeting place with the pusher who took care of the delivery.
The observation and shadowing activities of the Judicial Police, which in some cases also resulted in the seizure of the drugs, allowed us to ascertain a flourishing distribution activity of peak doses, no more than 20 (twenty) of 0.30 gr each and a high number of daily sales up to approximately 100, equal to 70 Euro per gram and approximately 1 Kg per month for a value of 70 thousand (seventy thousand) Euro per month.
The subjects targeted by the measures managed the lucrative activity without an operational base and with a short-lived prospect, giving life to a model of itinerant distribution which, based on long-standing and stable relationships, including personal ones, with the buyers, availed itself of the intervention, with merely executive functions, of another subject or other subjects for the delivery of the drugs.
In reconstructing the methods through which the drug dealing activity was carried out, as emerged from the intercepted conversations and the checks carried out by the judicial police, the GIP at the Court of Napoli Nord retraced the most important stages of the investigation, highlighting the events that had determined a temporary criticality in the distribution of drugs, such as the arrest of a pusher, or that had further increased the investigative difficulties, such as the aiding and abetting behavior committed by some habitual buyers resulting in the disclosure of the checks carried out by the judicial police in the places of habitual sale which resulted in the immediate replacement of the telephone cards.
