DOn Friday 27th May, “L'Essenza” (Sunflower – Self – Believe Digital), the new album by Clan Destino, Luciano Ligabue's historic band, will be available in stores, on digital platforms and in all digital stores.
The Emilian band will perform again with Luciano Ligabue at the Campovolo concert on Saturday 4 June.
Eleven tracks, made in Ligabue's studio "Zoostudio" and recorded by his son Lenny. "L'Essenza" is an immense emotional container. It is the manifesto of a group of people who have been sculpted by life events and come to terms with themselves by seeing themselves in the mirror through new eyes. "L'Essenza" is what Clan Destino have been and what they are now, while they scan the horizon with a desire for hope still in their hearts.
The album's release is accompanied by the single "Troppo di niente" which comes after the previous "Manifesto". The song observes with embarrassment and bitterness the poverty of the social and cultural models that this society has been able to nurture and that it continues to offer to young people, that is, to those who have our future on their shoulders and who should be helped to create it in a way free from too many stylistic elements.
Instead, much of what they are trying to propose to them is something harmless, superficial, politically “correct” and based on conforming to simple rules that can “guarantee” success in society, only to then marginalize those who do not conform or who do not obtain these alleged results.
This is “Too Much of Nothing”. Hope is the appearance of a “black sheep”, isolated and pilloried by traditional thought but which, as has often happened in history, knows how to embody and propose a different, original and more natural model for the innate desire of young people to change. And that this “nothing” that is insistently proposed is recognized as such and abandoned. Utopia?
“Blessed is he who knows how to stay within his thoughts and truly be himself.”
Nobody wants to be a censor or a sociologist but, guys, believe in yourselves and rebel against these models.
