There are 20.322 new cases Covid registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, compared to 22.438 yesterday but above all the 30.310 infections of last Thursday, confirming a weekly trend in constant decline. The swabs processed are 203.607 (yesterday 220.101) with the positivity rate falling from 10,2% to 10%.
There are 94 deaths (yesterday 114). The total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 166.358. Hospitalizations are still decreasing: there are 9 fewer patients in intensive care (yesterday -19), with 22 daily admissions, and they are 262 in total, while in ordinary wards there are 187 fewer (yesterday -288), 5.782 in total.
This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. The region with the highest number of cases today is Lombardy with 2.742 infections, followed by Lazio (+2.627), Campania (+2.345), Sicily (+2.063) and Veneto (+1.743). The total cases since the beginning of the pandemic reach 17.333.299.
The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 58.368 (yesterday 40.323) for a total that rises to 16.411.953. The currently positive are 37.595 less (yesterday -17.438) for a total that falls to 754.988. Of these, 748.944 are in home isolation
