There are 19.666 new cases Covid registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, compared to 20.322 yesterday but above all the 26.561 infections of last Friday, confirming a weekly trend in constant decline. The swabs processed are 198.897 (yesterday 203.607) with the positivity rate that drops slightly from 10% to 9,9%.
There are 105 deaths (yesterday 94). The total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 166.476. Hospitalizations are still decreasing: there are 7 fewer patients in intensive care (yesterday -9), with 18 daily admissions, and they are 252 in total, while in ordinary wards there are 178 fewer (yesterday -187), 5.558 in total. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The region with the highest number of cases today is Lombardy with 2.449 infections, followed by Lazio (+2.441), Campania (+2.113), Sicily (+1.710) and Puglia (+1.609). The total cases since the beginning of the pandemic reach 17.355.119. The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 34.748 (yesterday 58.368) for a total that rises to 16.449.697. The currently positive are 14.802 fewer (yesterday -37.595) for a total that drops to 738.946. Of these, 733.136 are in home isolation.
