Over 2000 restaurants, and more than 100 pizzerias, described and judged, together with the best Italian wines to discover in the forty-fourth edition produced by Le Guide de L'Espresso, presented today in Florence, at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and in newsstands and bookstores from tomorrow.
In the guide “I Ristoranti ei Vini d'Italia 2022”, announced the director and curator Enzo Vizzari, the '5 Cappelli' go from 13 to 18, while the 'Cappelli d'oro', that is the 'new classics', remain 14, despite some releases and new promotions.
“We are a country of cultures and expanded borders, with strong women who are exemplary witnesses to this,” Vizzari underlined, referring to chefs such as Antonia Klugmann (L'Argine a Venco', from Dolegna del Collio) and Ana Roš (Hiša Franko, from Kobarid) who have received the '5 Cappelli' this year, as have Alessandro Dal Degan (La Tana Gourmet, from Asiago), Giuseppe Iannotti (Kre'sios, from Telese Terme) and Carlo Cracco (Cracco, from Milan), who have received the 'Cappello d'oro', while Andrea Berton (Berton, from Milan) and Giancarlo Perbellini (Casa Perbellini, from Verona).
The Guide “I Ristoranti e Vini d'Italia 2021” is made up of over 2000 restaurants and trattorias to which a dedicated profile is dedicated, of which 14 with the 'Cappello d'oro' (14 in the 2021 edition); 18 with '5 Cappelli' (13); 34 with '4 Cappelli' (29); 117 with '3 Cappelli' (79); 273 with '2 Cappelli' (236), and 605 with '1 Cappello' (619).
