Also this year the Ethnos Festival and La Bazzarra, in collaboration with the Municipality of San Giorgio a Cremano and the support of the Campania Region and the Ministry of Culture, present Ethnos GenerAzioni, the competition dedicated to young artists under 35.
Now in its fourth edition, Ethnos GenerAzioni is the section of the international ethnic music festival directed by Gigi Di Luca dedicated to young artists, groups and companies that link their creativity and their projects to themes based on dialogue between cultures. Rereading the world of popular traditions in a contemporary and original way.
An important showcase included in the XXVII edition of the Ethnos Festival (September 2022) which also offers the chance to win a prize of €500,00 to promote your artistic activity. A real call to the arts for musicians, actors, dancers and creatives who intend to get involved in a period of recovery for the entertainment and live music sector.
3 categories competing this year: music, theater and dance, the latter divided into two subcategories: contemporary ethnic dance and popular dances of the world. Three sections in which young artists can present their works based on dialogue between cultures, experimentation and contamination. The application to participate in the pre-selections must be made online using the appropriate registration form on the website www.festivalethnos.it and sent no later than June 15, 2022.
Ethnos GenerAzioni is open to solo or group artists for music, individual artists or companies for theatre and dance. In particular, for the subcategory Popular Dances of the World, non-professional dancers are also eligible to participate.
A special commission, formed by the artistic direction of the Ethnos festival and by journalists and experts in the sector, will review the material received and select up to a maximum of 5 proposals for the music section, 3 for the theatre section, 2 for the Contemporary Ethnic Dance subcategory and 3 proposals for the Popular Dances of the World subcategory, which will participate in the finals included in the festival program.
