Montevergine funicular, runs every day starting next week. From 16 May Air Campania implements the connections.
After the five-yearly inspections to which the transmission system has been subjected in recent days have been successfully completed, the summer operating program will come into force on Monday.
There are 66 weekly trips, with services every 45 minutes in the time slot from 8.30 to 14.15. On Sundays and holidays, a further strengthening of the Mercogliano-Montevergine and funicular departures every 30 minutes.
Starting next week, Air Campania will constantly monitor the flow of travelers and the demand for future mobility. The aim of the regional transport company is to further enhance the Montevergine funicular and enhance services by supporting the natural vocation of religious tourism.
For the 2022 summer season, the ticket price has been confirmed, with a return trip at 8 euros. For residents in the municipality of Mercogliano and for groups of more than 20 people, the reduced cost of the ticket is 5 euros.
The timetables in force from Monday 16 May
Monday to Saturday: 8:30 – 9:15 – 10:00 – 10:45 – 11:30 – 12:15 – 13:00 – 13:30 – 14:15.
Sundays and holidays: 8:30 – 9:00 – 9:30 – 10:00 – 10:30 – 11:00 – 11:30 – 12:00 – 12:30 – 13:00 – 13:30 – 14:15.
