Naples. The “Banca del Buco” hit a jewelry store. The robbery took place in a jewelry store in Scialoia Street, in the Borgo Orefici.
The thieves broke in from the sewers just as the security guard was just outside the door and the business owner was setting up the window from the outside. The robbers then closed the door, leaving the security guard and the business owner outside, carrying out the robbery.
To discourage the owner and the security guard from trying to enter the shop, one of the robbers he fired gunshots outwards, causing a glass to break. A splinter hit the security guard, slightly wounding him in the face.
The robbers finally escaped through the sewers again. The State Police intervened on the scene and is investigating the incident. The value of the stolen goods has not yet been quantified.
