Napoli. The regional councilor of Europa Verde, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, was “again threatened and insulted by an illegal parking attendant” near the Bellini theater in Naples. The whole thing was filmed live on Facebook. After being recognized by the attacker, Borrelli reports having first suffered a verbal attack and then an attempted physical attack. The intervention of a Carabinieri patrol, called by Borrelli himself, avoided the worst.
"I have already reported this individual twice in the past. He is a character," says Borrelli, who "punctually returns to the streets to extort money from motorists. He continues undaunted to reserve spaces in the blue lines for his 'clients' using the garbage bins for recycling."
In his opinion, in this way "it also causes damage to the entire city by illegally taking away from the coffers of the Anm, the Neapolitan mobility company, the fees due for paid parking. An intolerable situation for which we forcefully ask again that the doors of prison be opened for repeat offenders of illegal parking and, above all, that it be verified whether they are also recipients of the citizen's income which must be immediately removed".
“It is sad to note – adds Borrelli – that during the Facebook live” the man “also obtained the support of some who thought they were insulting me with the ongoing attack. A worrying sign of the social degradation into which the city is falling”.
