Naples. Robbery of a victim near the Maradona stadium: a 35-year-old arrested after being 'caught' by cameras.
Yesterday morning a person went to the offices of the San Paolo Police Station to report having suffered a robbery in Piazzale Tecchio shortly before.
The victim said that, while she was walking along the pedestrian avenue that connects Via Claudio with Piazzale Tecchio, she was approached by a man who, after grabbing her by the neck, forced her to hand over the money she had with her. After the robbery, he ran away in the direction of the “Mostra” stop on the Cumana line. The scene of the robbery was captured on video surveillance cameras at the 'Maradona' stadium.
The police, thanks to the descriptions provided and the images, identified and stopped, in via Tertulliano, the alleged robber who was still wearing the same items of clothing corresponding to those used to commit the robbery.
The man, a 35-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was placed in judicial police custody for robbery.
