Napoli. Fifteen girls at risk of being excluded from school due to high absenteeism have attended an Iefp vocational training course in tailoring and are now learning to become entrepreneurs in a social enterprise on a property confiscated from the Camorra.
It happens in the 'difficult' Neapolitan neighborhood of Scampia. Next Monday their experience will be presented at the Hurtado center. Theirs is a three-year training course (promoted by Anpal Servizi) that today, at the start of the fourth year, also becomes a business and work for the territory.
These students, recovered from school dropout, will obtain the diploma of Technician of clothing and home textile products. At the same time - on the occasion of the presentation of the initiative - the social enterprise will be presented that will see the transformation of these girls into entrepreneurs of the tailoring shop with their own business in Secondigliano.
The experience of the IeFP courses started in Scampia has already produced the birth of a brand 'Napolillegal', currently being registered: a name that, it is explained, is the dichotomy between good and evil that contains within itself the possibility for each individual to choose. And a line of youth sportswear has also been created, designed and packaged by young people who are also testimonials and communicators on social channels.
The presentation will be attended by Armida Filipelli, Councilor for Professional Training of the Campania Region, Chiara Marciani, Councilor for Labor of the Municipality of Naples, Michele Raccuglia, Head of Campania Calabria of ANPAL Servizi, Don Adolfo Russo, Paola Rampini ANPAL Servizi, Simona Orefice Regional Secretary CISL, Roberto Sanseverino Director of the IeFP Eitd srl course, Paolo Lanzilli Sole Director of EITD srl, Graziano Calci, Head of the Hurtado Center, Father Fabrizio Valletti and in a video message the Mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi and the President of the City Council Vincenza Amato.
*The history of the project In Campania, within the FIxO Program of the PON SPAO with ANPAL SERVIZI, the IeFP courses were born. On May 8, 2017 in Scampia, a neighborhood of Naples North, at the Hurtado Center of the Jesuit fathers, 15 girls from the area began attending the first year of the IeFP Clothing Operator provided by the CFP EITD srl.
In 2021 these students obtained the professional qualification, and finally on May 16, they will be able to start the fourth year necessary to obtain the professional diploma in Clothing and Home Textile Technician and complete the cycle of studies.
"The IeFP courses are - the promoters emphasize - an innovative tool for the requalification and job placement of those who have abandoned their studies and have been excluded from the labor market. This experiment has immediately had a strong social connotation, being addressed to young people at risk of dropping out of school and often without families behind them. The IeFP has not been and is not only a "space" intended for training but over time has evolved into a real "place" of creativity".
“Aware that training is never an end in itself but the result of a process aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to develop their own path of growth and human, social, economic and professional fulfillment, EITD through its spin-off – Fondazione Citta' Nuova – is committed to ensuring the transition towards work integration for young female students.
The opportunity arose thanks to the publication of a Call for Proposals by PON METRO CITTA' DI NAPOLI “The Neighborhoods of Innovation – in which the Foundation participated by winning the funding. This step marked the beginning of a new and significant experience: the launch of an innovative start-up called “Sartoria Sociale”.
The Sartoria Sociale – the note concludes – will not only be understood as an idea of entrepreneurial development but as an innovative tool to “repair the territory in every detail” by moving from the centrality of the person to the circularity of the economy. A model of life that motivates and enhances the aptitudes and potential of young women through access to legal work in the name of redemption”.
