Work has finally started again on the construction of the Marinella Park, which will be located between the Carmine bastion, the former Cavalry barracks, the Fish Market and the council houses, the project for which was started in 1995.
The Regional Councilor of Europa Verde, together with the Councilor for Green of the Municipality of Naples Vincenzo Santagata, the President of the Municipality II Roberto Marino and the municipal councilor of Europa Verde Luigi Carbone, carried out an inspection in the area where the park will be built to verify the progress of the works.
“The Marinella park was designed in 1995 but its construction was repeatedly hindered by lack of funds and bureaucratic obstacles. Now finally the work is proceeding quickly and we are satisfied with this given that we have been following the evolution of this situation for some time.
The reclamation should be completed within 3 months and immediately after the construction of the park will begin with the relative green area where the first holm oaks have already been planted. We will continue to monitor the work until the park becomes a reality and can be used by citizens. ”- commented Borrelli and Carbone.
