A Santa Maria la Carità i Carabinieri della Compagnia di Castellammare di Stabia hanno arrestato in flagranza di reato il 34enne Michele Inserra, già noto alle Forze dell’Ordine e ritenuto contiguo al clan Di Martino di Gragnano, poiché gravemente indiziato del reato di furto aggravato.
The man, intercepted by the soldiers of the Radiomobile Section of the Carabinieri Company of Castellammare di Stabia in a secondary road of the Municipality of Santa Maria La Carità at the helm of astolen car a few days ago in the municipality of Scafati, was blocked as a result of chase, first by car and then on foot, after he had also climbed over a fence in order to avoid being checked.
In this circumstance the arrested person, who was wearing gloves and a neck warmer, he tried to get rid of it, in front of the military personnel, a screwdriver and an electronic device typically used to inhibit car control units and, immediately searched, he was also found in possession of a small torch and a mechanic's wrench.
At that point the Carabinieri decided to extend the search to the minivan in which the arrested man was travelling, finding inside it tools typically used for burglary and a borsello containing i documents and house keys of the owner of another car, which later turned out to have been stolen shortly before in Santa Maria La Carità and found at a later time parked in the urban center of Castellammare di Stabia.
The man, who was also charged with receiving stolen goods, in relation to the stolen origin of the vehicle he was travelling in, after the formal procedures, was taken to the Naples Poggioreale District Prison and, following validation, is still being held there. The two cars, both the minivan in which the arrested man was travelling and the one stolen from Santa Maria La Carità, were both returned to their rightful owners.
